About the event

Join us for the third event in the Queering Climate Action event series. This series is an exploration in incorporating queer knowledge, joy, and art into climate action. Queering Climate Action is about challenging normative power structures and uplifting queer perspectives. The series includes two seminar style events, each followed by an ecological restoration party.

This event will focus on fostering youth stewardship in climate action by inviting youth to learn from queer climate leaders, providing examples of queer success in the environmental field (and the pathways that led them there) and inspiration to get involved. This program aims to address barriers to queer involvement in science and inspire climate-based career paths for budding youth environmentalists.

Target audience:

This event is geared towards youth from middle school through university, but anyone is welcome to join.

When: Tuesday, May 13th, 5:00pm-8:00pm

Where: Gorge Park Pavilion, 1070 Tillicum Road, Esquimalt BC
