About the event

Join the Gorge Waterway Action Society (GWAS) and restoration enthusiasts from your community in our annual "Make a Difference Week" event!

We'll be planting native species in the Gorge Creek salt marsh and learning about this rare and critical ecosystem.

Volunteers don't need experience in ecosystem restoration to volunteer. For comparison, restoration work is similar to gardening, and will require traversing uneven outdoor terrain, but we won't be covering too much ground, and will take things slowly and safely.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing and supportive, close-toed footwear that you don't mind getting dirty. A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and reusable water bottle are also recommended!

To register for this free event, please email restoration@gorge.ca
